Adriana: Greetings in Jesus’s name! The weekend may be over, but we’re still rejoicing! Sunday night was a victorious night! Sis. Lespier shared during worship that a brother arrived at the place where services are held rather early and he found objects indicating that witchcraft had taken place. They cleaned the place and rebuked the work of the devil and we rejoiced singing, “and if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us, and if our God is with us, then what can stand against”.
When Jonny was called to the pulpit, God’s spirit was moving powerfully and before he even started preaching, newcomers were being prayed for at the altar and believers were celebrating their victory! Needless to say, the message was delivered and we continued to celebrate and receive strength from the Lord!
We thank you once again for your prayers and support. We feel honored to serve God and the people of God. And as the theme verse of the anniversary found in Acts 5:38-39 says, if this work is of God, it cannot be destroyed! Please continue to pray for the revival in Puerto Rico!!!
Adriana: Praise the Lord Young Adults! We want to thank you all for your prayers, we have definitely felt them! Our second service was amazing! We don’t know how else to describe it. The worship team ended with the song, “I can only imagine.. Surrounded by your glory” and about 170 people were crying in God’s beautiful presence…
Jonny then preached a powerful message on the spoken word of God and shared our testimony. During the preaching God was showing Jonny specific circumstances and people were being touched by the power of God.
The altar call was full of people believing for their promises and miracles and God was at work! Praise God for what He is doing in Puerto Rico and the small part He’s allowing us to participate in and witness, because the greatest revival is still to come!!!
Pursuing Presence Team: Hello to everyone! We will be updating you guys on the Marin’s travel to Puerto Rico. They had a service last night, will be having one tonight and tomorrow night. Please keep them in your prayers!
Adriana: Greetings from the island of Puerto Rico! We feel privileged to be here and excited to share all the details with you all. Last night was our first service. The Lespier family opened the service with worship celebrating and thanking God for 5 years of victories in Rio Grande. Then a band from Orlando, FL. Took over the worship and a sweet presence of God filled the sanctuary as everyone sang “Lluvia cae..” (Rain, fall).
There was a full house and people from many different churches supported the celebration. We met the Landaw missionaries who were also present.
Finally, Jonny preached a message on our precious salvation and the need to keep our families saved. People filled the altar weeping and re-committing their lives, families, and churches to God and His principles.
It was an amazing service and we remained in God’s convicting presence for a long time, praying for one another and worshipping.

• Matthew 6:26: For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul.
Basically this verse says that if you put yourself as a part of this world, that’s what you will be… THIS WORLD. You cannot be full of God, on focus and on point with God when you have one foot in the world. Soon enough you’ll be playing the Hokey Pokey with Jesus & this world. It’s important to keep your mind intact with God, because we are flesh and our body has desires in any aspect. Whether your flesh’s desire is to listen to a certain type of music, to watch stuff you shouldn’t be watching, or to do stuff you shouldn’t be doing.
• Philippians 4:6-7: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
I’m very impatient and sometimes I’ll be praying and praying and I feel as if God is just not listening. But something I have been learning daily is to just speak to God what’s on my mind, and what’s on my heart and then thank him because he does so much in each of our lives. God hears you, but it may not always be the answer you’d like so you choose not to “hear” it. But when you confide that God will do HIS will, not YOURS, in your life you began to receive the peace that Philippians talks about. We don’t know why God does things certain ways, but when you look back at it you start to realize “Wow, that’s why I went through this trial.” Or “That’s why my car broke down, because I needed to reach that tow truck driver who was giving up on life.” Thank God for your trials and tests! He’s not sending them over to hurt you! And he is certainly giving you the victory soon enough.
• Proverbs 13:20: He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed.
This verse, in my opinion, goes towards who you surround yourself with. There’s a saying “Tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are.” Many times this saying is completely true, because who you hang around are the people that are going to Influence you; either in a negative way or a positive way. Many times people tell us that in order to grow in God we need to be alone, and I also believed that at one point you need to feel that sense of loneliness to find yourself confiding in God. Till I came upon the word “Insulate”, which there are two definitions for. The first one is: to protect from heat, cold, or noise by surrounding with insulating material and the second one is: TO SET APART. We are not meant to be a part of this world! If your hanging around people who influence you to do so, then don’t drop them but set yourself apart from them & it doesn’t mean the same thing because you can still say hi to them, talk to them, correctively influence them but setting yourself apart from them will help YOU grow, and will help YOU be an example.
Hey guys! I wanted to send out a quick reminder about our PMI Session tonight at 8pm. Sorry it was announced last minuet but we decided to do this early on during the week. I am very excited for tonight because of the great moves of God we have been experiencing in the past sessions! There are so many great things happening With Pursuing Presence and we believe this is just the beginning. What is a PMI Session? It stands for Prayer Ministry and Impartation. There is no set out line of what happens. All I can say is that we will pursue after Him and follow after His Spirit. Where He leads us, we will go, and we will wait on Him. Watch the video to see a recap from our last session. If you are in the South Florida area and you are hungry for a deeper level, I encourage you to join us tonight as we pursue after Him. Very soon we will be putting up a calendar to show out upcoming events. Thanks again and I hope to see you tonight!!! – Thomas
Lately God has been reminding me to try His word and gain wisdom. It took me a while to learn that blogging doesn’t need to be perfect as long as you get the message across that God intended, the rest will follow. I’m not saying throw some hap-hazard, poor grammar, entry that doesn’t make sense and assume God will turn your uninspired water into glorious wine but I do believe that as Christians with big goals we can get caught up in the minors and lose sight of the big picture to simply do something. With that in mind:
“The Kingdom suffereth violence and the violent take it by force”…ever wonder what this passage of scripture is supposed to mean? I had some fun learning what it means so I have to share it with the world and the Pursuing Presence Fam … we are commissioned to be violent and forceful. That’s right, before you commence with the arguing check this out and see for yourself, what the Lord intends for us to do with His truth.
First things first the scripture comes from Matthew 11:12 and it is in fact a small meaty piece of a much larger whole. In Matt 11 Jesus is addressing a crowd of believers telling them about John the baptist likening him to Elijah because of One, his role as forerunner, Two, what the forerunner has done for the Messiah and for the kingdom of heaven and Three, where does this put us Christians in the mix.
First, John the Baptist…was a great hero of faith in the Bible and Jesus had nothing but great things to say of him Matt 11:11 “among [you] there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist”. That’s incredible praise to man who just a few verses earlier sent his own disciples to ask Jesus if He really was the one messiah we were expecting. (He struggled with faith). That’s because there is a constant war going on within us, a constant state of violence against the kingdom of God, our faith, His children. God recognizes our frailty as human and sent John a message of confirmation with the disciples. He goes on to state that even the least in the kingdom is greater than he [John the Baptist] becasue we are all equal in Gods eyes and have the same battle to fight.
“The Kingdom of God is suffering violence ” has a two fold meaning. The first is that the kingdom is in fact under attack by the enemy, the world that disagrees, our own flesh that causes our faith to falter and many other things that try to stifle the truth. The second meaning also according to many translations is the kingdom is forcefully advancing or the Kingdom is taking its rightful place and claiming hearts and souls for the Lord’s glory. (To try to keep this not too long I recommend these scriptures Mat11, John1, John14)
So, John the Baptist has a huge role in this, the kingdom obviously has a big role in this, what does this all mean for us? I’ll tell ya…Because the kingdom is under attack because our faith is constantly under scrutiny of the world and our own flesh we have a right and responsibility to be bold and do everything in our power to fortify our faith and the kingdom. The word fortify is defined as: strengthen, to impart endurance by adding material and to give mental strength. We as believers have to do just that everyday we have to seek the truth violently relentlessly to add substance to our knowledge and to seek His goodness for all its worth to see God in everything and remind our selves constantly that the God we serve is real, and there is none beside Him. We have to be willing to tell others, our friends, family and the world that this is the truth and be able to see it as our spiritual mission. Not to pick fights with people who doubt (Matt 11:15) but in love and respect immovably confident in the truth of the gospel and to take this world by force fearlessly and to advance the kingdom. there is so much more to discuss but that’s a good spot to end for now.
This summer has been one of the most hectic times of my life! Working two jobs and attending church occupied my whole week! On my day off ( which was the random-est day ever) I would be taking care of errands and resting. I was used to being at the church everyday the doors were opened, going out on Saturdays to the shelter or Little Havana, and my summer mission trip to Brazil or YOM. Honestly, I have been completely out of my element. I felt like my hands were cut off and I was helpless. I can truly say, as this moment in life comes to a close ( Thank you Jesus!!) God has taught me something through this experience:
1. For everything there is a season and 2. Dont take advantage of the time I’ve given you!
This post is for every young person and young adult that isn’t completely tied up with LIFE. We will all have our seasons that are dedicated to work and school and not much time for anything else, but for those that have some free time don’t take advantage of it! Tying this with what Thomas and Raquel posted earlier, God has a mission for each and everyone of us and our time is now to walk in that direction. We were all given the calling of the “Great Commission” to go out and preach this gospel! Go ahead and Just Do It! Don’t sit around waiting for someone to appoint you or ask because the most important person, Jesus Christ, has already appointed you in Matthew! The bible speaks clearly about time management not just for our agenda but for his! In John 17:4 Christ gives the perfect example of taking 3 years of his life and completely dedicating it to a Godly purpose. Colossians 4:5 prompts us to to reach to those that are without, redeeming the time. The word redeeming in this verse means “to use more diligence in the improvement of it; to be diligent and active in duty and preparation” (KJV Dictionary). We don’t know the day nor the hour that the son of man shall arrive, so we need to take advantage of every moment we have to be salt and light.
You can’t wait until you have this super huge ministry with your name on it because all those amazing pastors and preachers started with one soul and because God trusted them with little, he blessed them with more. If you attend a church that is big on evangelism and mission get involved as much as you can and if not, start something new! Go out and pass out tracts, serve in your local homeless shelter and pray for them. Do something that will contribute to this “End Time Revival” that is happening around the world, Now! If your an adult, parent, or a young married couple that have brand new responsibilities, take a moment to evangelize in your community as something to do with your spouse or children. Use it as a bonding tool to bring you guys together because doing something for God brings you joy! As Thomas said, Prepare!!! If you want to teach a bible study but you don’t know how, ask someone that is an expert ( POCC: Bro and Sis Fleming) to teach you, if your timid or scared, three words: Get Over It and take a friend with you! Those fears will only go away with practice!
I’m not coming from a place of “I’ve accomplished everything and I struggle with no fear” because I’m that girl that doesn’t know where to start in teaching a bible study and that doesn’t make time for this. I’m coming from a season that God has placed me in to work hard and I’ve had to miss out on YOM, Brazil, Camp, Little Havana and Shelter ministry. Luckily I have one week left in this place and Ill be able to do more but for now I just want to encourage all you guys on summer vacation or those that might have a Saturday off, Take advantage of the hungry souls around you – If you don’t reach them who will ?
